Empowering the Next Generation of Business Leaders
The Kaindmind Foundation was founded with a simple but powerful mission: to provide every student with the mentorship, skills, and confidence they need to become successful entrepreneurs.

Meet Our Founder
Salimah Rodriguez
With over 6 years of experience as a business mentor in New York City, Salimah Rodriguez has dedicated her career to empowering young entrepreneurs. Her passion for education and entrepreneurship stems from her own journey as a first-generation college graduate who overcame significant obstacles to build a successful career.
Salimah founded The Kaindmind Foundation in 2018 after witnessing the transformative power of mentorship in her own life. She recognized that many talented students lacked access to the guidance and resources needed to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams.
"Every student deserves a mentor who believes in them," Salimah often says. "Our foundation exists to bridge the gap between potential and achievement."
Our Story
The Kaindmind Foundation began in a small community center in New York City, where Salimah Rodriguez started hosting free weekly workshops for aspiring young entrepreneurs. What began as informal mentoring sessions for a handful of students quickly grew into something much larger.
Word spread about the transformative impact of these sessions. Students weren't just learning business concepts—they were gaining confidence, developing critical thinking skills, and forming a supportive community of like-minded peers. Within the first year, Salimah was mentoring over 50 students from diverse backgrounds across New York City.
In 2018, recognizing the need for a more structured approach, Salimah officially established The Kaindmind Foundation as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The foundation's comprehensive program combines one-on-one mentorship, hands-on workshops, real-world projects, and ongoing support to ensure every student has the tools they need to succeed.
Today, The Kaindmind Foundation has expanded to serve students in 15 cities across the United States, with over 500 alumni and a network of more than 100 professional mentors. Our graduates have launched successful startups, secured funding, and are making meaningful contributions to their communities.
